SERVICE DETAILS
Marlin A Wilkie enlisted in the Marine Corps on 2/17/1953. Served during the Korean War. Wilkie had the rank of Private First Class. Service number was 1375224. Served was a rifleman in Company H, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines, 3rd Marine Division.
CASUALTY CIRCUMSTANCES
Wilkie experienced a traumatic event which resulted in loss of life on January 21, 1954. Recorded circumstances attributed to: "Non-Hostile Death" (drowned, suffocated). Incident location: North Korea.

Marlin is remembered at the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington. This is a National Parks Service and American Battle Monuments Commission location. He is buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita.
