According to honorstates.org and findagrave.org, Jimmy Joe Tessadri was born on 14 April, 1947, and died on 25 March, 1968 at age 20. He was from Salida, Chaffee County, CO and is buried at Fairview Cemetery in his hometown; Sec. D, Blk 3, Lot 5, G3.

His parents were John J. Tessadri and Verna Marie Henderson. He was an Infantry Direct Fire Crewman with 25th Infantry Division, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry, Headquarters Company. He experienced a traumatic event which resulted in loss of life on March 25, 1968. Recorded circumstances attributed to: "Died through hostile action, explosive device". Incident location: South Vietnam, Binh Long province.

Jimmy was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart award.
