Son of Frank Jennings Stinnette and Fae Mary Stinnette. Served aboard battleship USS Colorado. Died when 5-inch shell fired from the USS Pennsylvania to repel Japanese attackers inadvertently hit the Colorado while it was shelling enemy positions on Luzon. Buried at sea in South China Sea. Awarded Purple Heart.
