Howard Roerig was in Patton's 517th Field Artillery and was killed six days before the end of the war. He held a degree in Electrical Engineering from CSU. The Roerig family has been in Colorado for several generations and all are proud of their Colorado heritage and their honored veterans. Howard's brother, Ken, also served in the Army, in the Pacific, in the liberation of the Phillipines. We lost Ken on June 27, 2013.
