Only son of widow Alice J. Reisig, an immigrant from England who lived in Colorado Springs, and father John G. Reisig. Entered service from Colorado. Member Company M, 1st Colorado Volunteers. Described by Colorado Springs Gazette as "a faithful soldier and a devoted son." Died aboard relief ship S.S. Nagasaki. Last Colorado casualty at Philippines. Initially buried at the National Cemetery along the road from Camp Dewey.
