Husband of Luella VanMetre Jewell who worked in shipyards at Tacoma, Worked as farmer. Washington while he was serving overseas. Inducted into the Army on September 28, 1943. Sent to Pacific in March 1944 and served at New Guinea and New Britain Island. Cenotaph at Yuma Cemetery.
