Member Company D, 1st Battalion, 34th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. Taken POW in combat in South Korea July 12, 1950. Survived Tiger Death March and died POW at Hanjang-ni December 1, 1950. Remains never recovered. Awarded Combat Infantryman's Badge, Prisoner of War Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation and Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
