Son of John Joseph and Mary Duzenack Glinsky. Married to Sophie Podbevsek Glinsky. Father of Donald Glinsky. Brother of Frances Mary Glinsky DiMatteo and Anne Marie Glinsky. Graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1931 as class valedictorian. Worked as assistant cashier at First National Bank. Member and financial secretary of Knights of Columbus and was considered a prominent Catholic of Walsenburg. Elected Walsenburg city treasurer in 1940 and served until Inducted into the Army on April 22, 1944. Received basic training at Camp Roberts, California and transferred to Fort George Meade, Maryland before going overseas. Member 71st Infantry, 44th Infantry Division. Awarded Purple Heart.
