Son of George Adamson of Lead, SD. Originally came to Lead as a baby and grew up there, where he worked for the Homestake mining company. Registered and trained in Colorado Springs. Also had stepmother and 3 stepbrothers, one of whom served in France.  Believed to have served in the Motor Transport Corps.
