Commonly called "Eddie". Son of Dujo Yengich and brother of Jack, Tony, John, Mrs. George Miketa, Mrs. Ray Downey, Mrs. Charles Matthews, Mrs. Joseph Coffee Jr. and Mrs. Albert Harford. Attended Central High School and member of St. Francis Xavier church. Worked in wire mill of Colorado Fuel & Iron Company. Member of the Tambritza Orchestra and was locally well-known softball pitcher. Enlisted 1948. First served in army of occupation in Japan. Member 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. Awarded Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman's Badge, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation and Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
