Biography
Graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1938. Was staying with cousins in CA while waiting to enlist (one of these cousins would later be killed at Pearl Harbor). Enlisted Aug 20, 1942. He participated in air drop on D-Day.
Circumstances
Harold Was A Radio Operator On A C-47 Skytrain When It Collided In Mid Air With Another Plane Over Belgium. A Letter From Major General Edward F. Witsell States That The Oak Leaf Cluster To Air Medal Was Awarded.
