Son of Fred and Mina Mark. Nephew of George Russell of Seibert and Alva White of Kansas. Mother died and was buried on his 6th birthday, and then moved with father to Bates County, Missouri where father died when he was 11. Afterward lived with aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. George Russeell in Seibert. Enlisted in Denver on July 1, 1918. Died aboard receiving ship. Had sister, 2 half-brothers, 4 uncles, 3 aunts and grandmother.
