Son of John Manuello of Boulder and Mrs. Irene Travers of Redding, California. Lived with Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Manuello of Iliff. Raised in Iliff and graduated from Iliff High School in 1949. Entered service on March 5, 1952 and sent overseas February 28, 1953. Member Company C, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division. On March 26, 1953 was defending Outpost Reno when his position was overrun by two Chinese battalions. Presumed dead March 26, 1954, remains never recovered. Also listed on Courts of the Missing at Honolulu Memorial. Awarded Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation and Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
