Son of Claude L. and Ora Lindsey of Providence, Kentucky. Brother of Lorene Lindsey Jeffrey. Joined National Guard in 1939 and went overseas on December 25, 1941. Fought in invasion of the Philippines. Died of wounds received in battle on Leyte Island on November 6, 1944.
