Member Naval Reserve Force. Brother of Mrs. Ellen Purcell of Fairview. Crewman of USS Cyclops which vanished without a trace with all 306 hands and passengers in March 1918 while at sea in the Bermuda Triangle, which fate remains one of the greatest maritime mysteries.
