Commonly called "Scotty". Son of Colorado World War I veteran John Herbert and Clara Margaret George Brosius. Brother of Mary Margaret Brosius Head. Brosius. Graduated Rifle schools in 1940. Attended Mesa College where he enrolled in Civil Aeronautics Civilian Pilot Training Program. Graduated Mesa on May 29, 1942. Attended Colorado A&M when called to service. Trained at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri and Chandler Field, California. Married after receiving his wings. Member 68th Fighter Squadron, 347th Fighter Group. Flew 70 combat missions with P38 airplane. Died when plane developed engine failure while ferrying new planes to combat zone.
