Son of Daniel Lamont and Bertha Cordelia Averill Bartholomew. Brother of Le Ora Maude and Bertha Beatrice Bartholomew. Moved to Otis with his parents on January 30, 1914. Enlisted August 9, 1918. Trained in heavy artillery at Fort MacArthur, California. Was member of 4th generation of his family to serve the United States in war with father in Spanish-American War and grandfather and great-grandfather in Civil War.
