WW II US Army Air Corps Veteran. He was inducted in October 1942 and served as Sergeant Radio Gunner in the 416th Bomber Squadron, 99th Bomber Group, 15th Air Force in Europe. He was killed in action and posthumously awarded the Purple Heart.
