Light Their Way Home Luminaria Event has been postponed

After much discussion and deliberation, the Colorado Freedom Memorial Foundation has decided to postpone our Annual Luminarias Event until March 2025. Out of consideration for our staff, volunteers, and visitors we are postponing the event until a time with more optimal weather will be available. We plan on having our event in conjunction with the groundbreaking of our new Visitors Center.
We at the Colorado Freedom Memorial hope you understand our reasoning behind this difficult decision, and we hope you will join us again in March to celebrate the lives lost in service to our freedoms.

#TellUsTheirStories

The Colorado Freedom Memorial needs your help! We are missing biographical information on almost 3500 of the names on the Memorial. If someone in your family from Colorado has given their life in service please visit our database and make sure we know who they were.
We can’t bring them back, but we can make sure they are never forgotten.

MISSION STATEMENT

To provide a place of beauty and reverence where family and comrades can find peace in the memory of lost loved ones.
To educating all who see this monument to the magnitude of loss we all share in the name of freedom.
To maintain the memorial that honors the Coloradoans who left to fight for freedom and never returned.

“Time will not dim the glory of their deeds.”
— General of the Armies, John J. Pershing

But time does dim the memory of the men and women who gave their lives defending freedom. That’s why the Colorado Freedom Memorial is so important. It insures future generations will know the price paid for their freedom and it gives families and comrades of the fallen the knowledge we have not forgotten!
